Tools for Historians was created in 2020 and is managed by Kate Carpenter, a history graduate student at Princeton University. I wanted a way to bring together descriptions of the many tools historians use in their work, along with details about their pros and cons and the ways that they are actually put to use, in an attempt to demystify some of these new additions to our changing profession. My hope was that this resource would be especially helpful to new graduate students, but I suspect that there are many others who might be looking for all of this information in one place, as well.
